We are developing a hospital that supports healthcare in the East of England and values all staff, wherever they are based.
We are committed to collaborating with colleagues from across the East of England to design a hospital and models of care that work for us all, including children, young people and families who live in the region.
We aim to:
- Provide equitable access to high quality care, schooling and research
- Enable care to be provided closer to home
- Support the quality and sustainability of a regional workforce
- Support and lead population health initiatives, acting as an advocate for child health
We recognise that the expertise and insights of regional colleagues is vital in shaping how the vision for Cambridge Children’s Hospital is delivered, and ensure our services and models of care reflect regional need, complement existing provision and build on what already works well.
There are a number of ways we are already working with colleagues across the East of England.
Regional Clinical Advisory Board (RCAB)
Chaired by Mary-Anne Morris, a consultant paediatrician in Norfolk, this groupbrings together senior leaders from across the region to shape the direction of the children’s hospital project and support transformation for children’s services across the East of England.
Regional Forum
A quarterly virtual forum to support all professionals across the region to remain updated on the children’s hospital and its progress, and provide an opportunity for colleagues to share updates from their area of the region. You can join the forum by using this form (opens in a new tab).
Regional newsletter
We share a quarterly newsletter focused on updates and news from the project and the region.
We are working closely with regional partners, acute NHS trusts and other healthcare providers to ensure that Cambridge Children's Hospital can truly integrate with the wider health and social care system.
