Our Youth Forum and Young Adult Forum have attracted young people from across the East of England, eager to make Cambridge Children's Hospital the best it can be.
Listening to young people and giving them the chance to shape future - and current - services is key to us getting Cambridge Children's Hospital right.
We have two fantastic opportunities for young people: a Youth Forum for age 14-18 (Years 10-13) and a Young Adult Forum for age 19-25. Their meetings take place once every 4-6 weeks, either online or face to face, and are a great opportunity for developing personal and professional skills.
To date, our two Youth Forums have worked on the transition from children's to adult services; teenage spaces in the new children's hospital; and hospital school and reintegration back into mainstream school. Some of our young people - members of our former Press Pack initiative - got to meet the Prince and Princess of Wales! We can’t promise a Royal visit for everyone that joins us, but we can promise an experience where you will develop new skills, build confidence and make new friends.
